Paragliding Cape Town : The LowDown

At Cape Paragliding we pride ourselves in having the perfect balance between fun and safety. We love to fly and know you will too.
No Experience Needed
We, the pilots, do all the heavy lifting, all that’s required from you is a short walk or run for the launch, depending on the conditions.
Age Limit 5 Years +
All children, big and small, can go paragliding in Cape Town. We even have dedicated harnesses for the little ones. So if they want to fly, let them fly!
Weight Limit
Paragliders are impressive in that they can carry passengers of all shapes and sizes. Our minimum limit is 20kg and the maximum weight is 120kg.

Tandem Paragliding
While it’s not possible to guarantee a specific flight time, we do guarantee to only fly in safe conditions. We are all paragliding instructors and make every effort to give you the longest (up to 20 minutes), most enjoyable and safest flight possible.
Paragliding Cape Town
Paragliding flights in Cape Town are mainly from Signal Hill and Lion’s Head. The launch site we choose depends on the wind’s strength and direction. Some days we start at Signal Hill and then move to Lion’s Head when the wind changes. Are you ready for the experience of a lifetime?
GoPro Moments
We use GoPro action cameras to capture your amazing tandem paragliding flight. This is an optional but highly recommended service. We upload them to your phone with an adapter, ready to share your Paragliding experience with the world!
Flying with us? What You Need to Know:
- All flights are weather dependant and the scheduled time can change at any time due to weather conditions.
- Only closed shoes such as sneakers or hiking boots will be permitted. No sandals or flip-flops.
- Long pants and a long-sleeved top recommended.
- We provide transport from landing back to signal hill.
- Photos and Videos will be downloaded with and adapter onto your mobile phone after the flight.
- We try our best to make your flight as long as possible but the weather dictates how long the actual flight will be. This can vary from 6min to 20min. Unfortunately, we have no control over the duration.
- No refunds on flights, in the event of unflyable weather we will reschedule at your convenience.
- Forms of payment: We accept cash, VISA, and Mastercard. EFT’s must be done 3 days prior to your flight.

PARAPENTE cc is an approved Cape Town Paragliding Operator of Table Mountain National Parks (TMNP) and is also registered as a Paragliding Training School with the South African Hang and Paragliding Association (SAHPA).
All our Pilots are members of SAHPA, hold Instructional Tandem Paragliding licenses issued by South African Civil Aviation Authority, are affiliated to the Aero Club of South Africa and The Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI).
